When developing our new treatment room concept, we put the needs of the target group first and used this as our guiding principle. Many of these needs focus on the connection with nature and pursuit to integrate these natural surrounding elements. To meet this, we have done extensive research in the areas of color, design, and especially Environmental Graphic Design (EGD), with the aim of bringing nature indoors. In addition, it was our intention to create a treatment environment in which the person being treated does not feel inferior or subordinate to the practitioner. Many of our choices regarding furnishings and layout are aimed at maintaining both physical and mental equality between the patient and practitioner, in the hope that this promotes a sense of trust.
